The thick pine forest and a rich Mediterranean vegetation go up to the wide sandy beach of Marina di Castagneto, where there is the ancient Renaissance military fort, which once stood to defend the coast.

Among hills, countryside, woods and pine forests, down to the sea, the possibilities for excursions and walks are numerous.

Of particular note are some itineraries of particular interest, on foot, by bicycle or on horseback, such as those that run along Via Bolgherese and Viale dei Cipressi or the 3 km long promenade along the beach of Marina di Castagneto.
